Wise Quotes - THANKSGIVING FOR ANSWERED PRAYER!

Psalm 138 is our focus of praise today. In this Psalm of David, he was expressing a sincere appreciation to God for answered prayers.

He begins by giving thanks with all his heart....a sign of true appreciation and then singing praises before the gods......acknowledging God's supremacy above all other gods. His gratitude to God continues as he speaks of His unfailing love and faithfulness.

The main point to focus out of this whole chapter is the fact that whenever you call on God, He answers.......Psalm 50:15 says call on ME in the day of trouble and i will rescue you.
This promise along with the rest listed below in Psalm 138 is enough reason to praise The Lord. Thanksgiving should be an integral part of our praise to God.

Throughout the year, many are the things we prayed to God for - protection, strength, comfort, patience, love and other special needs. As we praise God for the material and spiritual blessings, we should also thank him for answered prayers. We should never take God's protection and answered prayers for granted.

Take a moment to reflect on this Psalm as we continue in our season of thanksgiving. Remain blessed.

Psalm 138New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord’s Goodness to the Faithful

Psalm of David.

138 I will praise You with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to You.
I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.
All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord,
When they hear the words of Your mouth.
Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of the Lord.
Though the Lord is on high,
Yet He regards the lowly;
But the proud He knows from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lordendures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
