Romans 8:31-35 - 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Verse 32 - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Think about it; Would God save your soul and leave you to fend for yourself or address your eternal needs and not your earthly ones? NO, He certainly would not do that. God is very much aware of our physical needs so the Bible is filled with loads of assurances of God's provision for us. Endless promises which will supply your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.....(Philippians 4:19)
There is also a story of a woman who had very little to spend on. She would always pray to God and her needs were always met by the end of the day. One day as she was praying, her neighbour overheard and asked her to stop praying because God wasn't going to answer her prayers for what she needed. To prove to the woman that God wasn't the one providing, he bought everything the woman had prayed for and left in front of the woman's door.
When the woman came out and found the things outside her door, she knelt down and thank God for answered prayer. The man quickly came out of his house and said "Ahhhh i told you there was no God, i was the one who bought you all those things". With tears in the woman's eyes she continued praising God and said "Oh thank you God for using my enemy to bless me"........funny isn't it? Yes; that's how Our Mighty God works......He uses the 'foolish things' of the world to shame the wise.....(1 Corinthians 1:27)
Be rest assured today as you think about these words.......Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26
