Wise Quotes - PRAISING THE LORD AT ALL TIMES!

Although we are in a Season of Thanksgiving, our praise to God should not end there or be subjected to seasons. Our worship should be that of Psalm 34.......

Psalm 31:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
34 I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
Praise and worship to God are part of our spiritual weapons........Let me take you back to the story of King Jehoshaphat(II Chronicles 20:1-30). The story tells of King Jehoshaphat being faced with battle, his first reaction was fear but he didn't give up and sort the face of the Lord.

This is a powerful testimony of the weapons of our warfare but i will like us to concentrate on verses 18 to 22. (I promise to come back to this story in detail at a later date).

And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord19 Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high.
20 So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:
“Praise the Lord,
For His mercy endures forever.”[c]
22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

Jehoshaphat believed the Word of God and begun praising the Lord. From this story there are three things to learn here;
1. We ought to praise God before any battle
2. We ought to praise God during the battle and
3. We ought to praise God in the Victory after the battle.

There is Power in our Praise and Worship to God, we may not always see the manifestations of it but be rest assured that Our God is forever faithful and we are Victorious in every way. Have a blessed day.
