Wise Quotes - KNOWING JESUS BETTER

Today's post is shared from an excerpt i read in The International Children's Bible. Most times i read the children's bible because i love the way it expresses and explains the bible in the simplest form. I came across the words below, it was perfect in its explanation, i just couldn't add or take away from it hence I'm sharing it as it is. I pray you're blessed by it just as i have been.

*****Disclaimer ****** The following excerpt is taken from the International Children Bible (Holy Bible). No part of it belongs to the writer of this blog.

Many people in the Bible times had heard about Jesus and some were able to hear Him speak. But it was Jesus' disciples who knew Him best. Why? Because they lived with Him, ate with Him and walked with Him all day long. We get to know people better the more we hang around them.

So how can we get to know Jesus even though He's in heaven and we're still on earth? We spend time with Him. We set aside time each day when we can read the Bible without other distractions. Then we talk to Jesus in prayer about the verses we've read and about the thoughts in our minds and hearts. Even after we've said "Amen," we can keep the conversation going all day long.

For instance, when we see a beautiful sunset, we can tell Him thank You. When we're nervous about school, we can ask Him to make us brave. Whatever is happening in our lives, we can share it with Jesus. And when we do, we will soon see a beautiful friendship  start to grow.

"The thing you should want most is God's kingdom and doing what God wants. Then these other things you need will be given to you." Matthew 6:33 ICB*

Wise Quotes - HE KNOWS YOUR NAME!

Every individual has been given a name by which they can be identified......Whatever the name is, it is often a warm feeling when someone  knows you by YOUR NAME and calls you by that name. There is that intimate feeling of closeness when you hear your name being mentioned.

Marriage has changed my last name but anytime i hear someone call me by my maiden name, i immediately know that person REALLY knows me very well.......too well to have some sort of relation or friendship. And most likely, such people are very close childhood mates from school. It is always a joy to hear even if i don't remember the person that well, but the fact they call me is enough to have a chat. For me, being able to call me by my native name means  we share a BOND , a CLOSENESS or a FRIENDSHIP.

There is more to a name than we ever imagine. Whatever the meaning of your name, God knows you by A NAME. Think about this, God knew you before you were born. In actual fact He had a name for you before you were born.....And He knows you by that name.

Jeremiah1:5(NIV*) says - Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

There is a level of intimacy in God knowing us that no relation on earth can ever have with us. He said in His Word that: But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (1 Peter 2:9 NASB*)

WOW!!! How pleasant it is to know you're Loved by a God so intimately. Just go through the day with shoulders up, head held high, knowing you're loved by THE ALMIGHTY.

This song comes to mind whenever i think of how loved i am by God to call me His own. Have a blessed day.

I have a Maker
He Formed My Heart
Before even time began
My life was in his hands

Chorus
He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

I have a father
He calls me his own
He'll never leave me
No matter where I go

Wise Quotes - LIVE IN THE PRESENT

There is a saying that I love very much......Today is a gift  - that's why its called The Present. The day is always full of opportunities which are too many to grab than to waste time worrying about the past. We all have 24hours in the day, how you utilise it will be a great blessing to you.

We waste so much energy and time focusing on what might have been, could have been and should have been. Worrying about the past or what could have been only adds to your stress and causes unnecessary anxiety.

Tell me; And who of you by worrying can add one hour to [the length of] his life? (Matthew 6:27 AMP*) No one....the only thing you can control is what you do in the present. So seize this opportunity and make a change in your life. We all make mistakes, the beginning of the story is not as important as how it ends. Our God is a God of second chances and He's already given us enough blessings for the day.......They are new every morning(Lamentations 3:23).

Today, i urge you to have faith in God,  forget about the past, seize the present and start living. Remain blessed as you reflect on these words from Matthew 6:25-34(AMP*):

The Cure for Anxiety

25 “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by worrying can add one [l]hour to [the length of] his life? 28 And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ 32 For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Wise Quotes - TRUE JOY

Growing up, we had a sticker on our fridge that read "HAPPINESS DEPENDS ON HAPPENINGS BUT JOY DEPENDS ON JESUS. I would read it everytime i went to the fridge but only to truly understand it well in my adulthood.

I had a very challenging yet fun upbringing and i think that thought me to be happy with the little i had. I hear people  say they use to be jealous when their siblings or friends had new things but contrary to that i quiet remember i was very much contempt with whatever i was given. In fact i would be overjoyed if i was ever bought a toy or anything nice......whether or not that was due to my upbringing i don't know but the one thing i'm grateful for is that, it is really helping me in this life now.

We are now in a generation where everything is fast track with new and exciting things happening daily. It's a time of our lives where degrees and good results are being persuade, fulfilling jobs are being applied, folks working tirelessly to leave something behind for their families and everyone trying very hard to achieve something in life.

My family started laying down certain goals we wanted to achieve by certain times and then we worked on them with prayer......i remember when we first made our plans i use to think how much happy it'll make us all if we're able to do them. We went through this year achieving some and one day i just sat down and asked myself 'what now'? For a split moment it was almost as if to say "wait, is that all? Don't get me wrong i was over the moon by that achievement and very much grateful to God but humanly speaking, there was still a void in me.....an emptiness which i thought our achievement would have filled. I started thinking about it so much and trying to figure out what we could do next because maybe that will fill the void.

It was then that The Holy Spirit brought to my attention what i needed to fill the void. See, we had been working towards our achievement with God's help yet i was depending on the things to make me happy. I was HOPING that by achieving  them i will be ok but JOY, true JOY only comes from JESUS. My realisation of this truly humbled me and brought me back to my knees.....i quickly prayed and asked God to forgive me for depending on things when He is the giver of those things.

See, Happiness doesn't come from getting what you want; it comes from recognising every little God has blessed you with and enjoying them. A little goes farther than you can ever imagine when you see God's abundant supply of grace and have a heart full of thanksgiving.

Whatever emptiness or void you need filling today, i need you to understand that only GOD can fill that up.....We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.....(Proverbs 16:9 NLT) Remain blessed.

Wise Quotes - LIKE THE SALT

Ever since i started sharing my experiences of the Word, i always go through my notes praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as to what to share. The thing is I have so much to share but one thing i know is God's Word always comes at the right time for His people so even though my notes may be many i still need The Holy Spirit to help me choose. I went through the day praying about the next topic but with nothing(isn't it funny how i have a lot but yet finds nothing?)

Anyway i sat through Friday night service still wondering and just then The Holy Spirit gave me the Word.....the speaker was preaching about Hannah(Samuel's Mother) but for some reason all i heard was SALT and immediately i was reminded of a Word i shared in church back in 2014 which was titled "LIKE THE SALT......"

There is more to salt than meets the taste  buds. Salt has been used in many cultures as a valuable commodity. The word salary comes from the ancient word meaning 'salt-money', referring to a Roman soldier's  allowance for the purchase of salt. Someone who earns his pay is still said to be 'worth his salt'. Salt has been used to express promises and friendship between people. It was even considered by the Greeks to be divine. Today in many Arab cultures, if two men partake of salt together they are sworn to protect one another......even if they had previously been enemies. In some cultures, people throw salt over their shoulders when they make a promise........Who knew sodium chloride was so important?😃

Salt has two purposes in the Middle East of the first century. Because of the lack of refrigeration, salt was used and is still being used to preserve food, especially meat which would spoil in the desert environment. The second purpose is being used as a flavor enhancer.

Matthew 5:13 says "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

In comparison of salt to believers, we are preservatives to the world and in the same way the salt enhances the flavour of the food it seasons, the followers of Christ stand out as those who "enhance" the flavour of life in this world. Christians, living under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in obedience to Christ, will inevitably influence the world for good, as salt has a positive influence on the flavour  of the food it seasons.

Where there is strife, we are to be peacemakers; where there is sorrow, we are to be the ministers of Christ, binding up wounds and where there is hatred, we are to exemplify the love of God in Christ, returning good for evil.

And just as we are both flavour enhances and Preservatives, we can also loose our saltness as the second line of Matthew 5 says. The loss of saltness occurs in the failure of a believer to daily take up the cross and follow Christ wholeheartedly.

We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us......and that means making our light shine just as in being seasoned like salt. And as we do that, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated by the Blood of the Lamb, our presence automatically liberates others.

Have a blessed day not forgetting to be Like the Salt.

Wise Quotes - OVERCOMING OBSTACLES

On every life's journey, there are obstacles to overcome. How we deal with them determines how far we go. If we choose to stop at every obstacle, we will never finish the race.

Several things become hindrances which try to stop us.......these three are however obstacles to look out for and work on.

1.UNFORGIVING ATTITUDE  - Forgiveness place a vital part on our journey. It is often said that the most important people in your life are the hardest to forgive......Jesus was right in His Words from Matthew 18:20-21.... Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

He knew how hard it will be for us to forgive hence he gave us this instruction. In as much as it is, i have come to realise that the quicker  you FORGET about a wrong done to you, the quicker your Forgiveness for that person is forgotten.....Forgiveness is more for you than the other person. I have also learnt along the way that the moment the mention of a person's name agitate you, take a moment and say this prayer, " Father, i forgive them as You've forgiven me. Whatever i ask for myself in blessing, i ask for them in double measure'.

Mark 11:26 NKJV* says; But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."  So let us cultivate this act of forgiveness.

2.UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. On your journey of life, you get to choose your travelling companions so choose wisely.
1 Corinthians 15:33 says Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits." There is also a popular saying that "Show me your friend and I'll show you your character.

As we grow, we tend to find that we loose friends along the way, some you simply loose touch while others gradually fade into what i call the 'once in a while get in touch friendship zone'.....whatever the reason, we don't set out to loose them but we do. It's the same way we also build up new friendships along the way....this is now where we need to be wise in choosing because they are the ones who will either bring you down or help you up. I am very much blessed to have in my circle of friendship, ones who edify and build me up and vice versa.

3.UNDECIDED HEART- When your mind is set on reaching your goal in life, nothing can stop you on your way up. A decided heart is the result of a made up mind.

Philippians 3:13-15 - Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you

Remain blessed today in your journey of life. #inspired...ann #WiseQuotes

Wise Quotes - ATTAINING SUCCESS

Have you ever wanted to be successful at something so bad you'll do anything to achieve it........only to start off and then it feels like you can never do it?

To be able to succeed in something, you must never give up......anything worth while is always worth fighting for. Whatever we strive to achieve, we need God's Grace and Power because without them, we are inadequate.

God always has a way of creating opportunities for us but it also requires our commitment. We will have to do our part by going out there and find it. There will be a fear of rejection but yes successful people dread rejection too; the difference is that they believe their goals are worth it. God causes some of these opportunities to come through people.

Have you ever met someone who knew someone who was linked to another person who had the answers to the exact thing you were looking for? I surely have and it's the same way God can also make you the connection to someone else's success.

Jesus Christ had to go out and reach out to the lost. He was at times found in places which to human was unheard off or as some will probably say was "out of His league" but he never gave up. Why? Because He had a purpose to achieve.

Remember He was God on earth so He could have chosen to sit home and let the people come to Him. Instead He showed us the greatest example of all times by going out and achieving His purpose on earth.

Until your dreams becomes more important to you than your fear of rejection, you will never succeed. Whatever you wish to do.....take that bold step today and go for it. Remain blessed .

P.S- Lets read these wise words from King Solomon.

Proverbs 6:6-11

Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest. How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.

Wise Quotes - GOD'S GIFTS

"I find myself helping people out a lot these days"......

"Mine is singing.....you'll catch me singing everywhere......."

"I love kids and love working with them......."

"At school i don't like to read but I'm very good with art....."

"Ask me any day what i like to do and I'll  say working on cars, i love talking about them and learning new things on cars......."

"I have good managerial skills and always find myself being the team leader amongst my friends......"

"I play the drums in my church......."

"I love to cook though i wouldn't say i'm a chef........"

"Mine is counselling......I think. I am more the type who is always giving advice where needed......"

Above are some, if not most of the things i hear people say about what they do best or like to do. What will you say about each person above?

God has blessed us all with different talents and gifts. Every individual with the guidance of the Holy Spirit can determine which gifts they have in order to use it accordingly.

You might be wondering what your gifts or talents are or may think you dont really have one. You need not worry. Ask yourself what you find yourself doing best or sub consciously do without any effort?

You may be the one who always finds him/herself first in the church tidying and arranging things ready for service or you may find yourself always talking to the homeless. All are part of God's Perfect gifts given to us.

Romans 12:6-8 (NIV) says: We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith;  if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;  if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

When you have realised what you're blessed with, don't be stagnant, fly on with the wings God has given you. Remain blessed as you go on your day using your wings . #inspired.ann #WiseQuotes

Wise Quotes - HEALTHY SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Having the realisation that The Holy Spirit lives in you is one of the best things in a believers life. I was quiet surprise to find out that certain denomination of Christians does not know this truth about the Holy Spirit.

Let me break it down......though the bible doesn't clearly state about The Trinity, it however does make mention of all three entities being present at a particular point in time. These scriptures gives clarification:

Matthew 3:16-17 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

                        **************

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

                       **************

Genesis 1:26 - Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

For the sake of those who don't know about The Trinity it's:
God - The Father
God - The Son(Jesus Christ)
God - The Holy Spirit.

All are the same yet All have individual guidance in our lives. None is superior or least than the Other as some may think....They are simply put in that order because of the way They are introduced in the bible.

I hope this explanation is clear, If not kindly get in touch and let's discuss more......now to today's Wise Quote.

Being Spiritually Healthy requires being in tune with The  Spirit of God and heeding to His guidance.

                         **************

John 14:16-17 (AMP*) And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

The above scripture explains the role of The Holy Spirit. He lives in you to connect you to the Will of God. When one is born again, it is said that the old is gone and all things are new. This is where the Holy Spirit takes residence and start to make changes which brings about a spiritual growth. You won't grow spiritually if you close  yourself off from the  guidance of the Holy Spirit. As you become spiritually healthy, you'll become more emotionally healthy.

Why don't you take a moment and ask The Spirit  of God to show  you the purposes He has for your  life today. He's closer than you think. Remain blessed.

Wise Quotes - A GRATEFUL HEART

There is a saying that "A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles".

Every morning while praying with my kids before school, i make it a habit of thanking God for the weather, whatever it might be for the day. When i first started i realised the kids were puzzled as to why i had to thank God for the weather, especially when it's started off dark and gloomy with rain pouring down.

I explained to them the importance of everything God made and how beneficial it is to us as well as every thing being a blessing including the rain.

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

I also had to explain that there is a time and a season for everything so if we wake up to a gloomy day, it might seem bad for us but for the farmer down the country side, it'll mean water for their crops.....like wise a sunny day will mean something to us. So in everything we must thank God. Since then i noticed how they also started praying and thanking God for the weather and by doing so their attitude towards the day changed positively.

By being appreciative of little things like the weather, it's amazing how even if we're going through the rain, we don't worry about getting wet because we know they are showers of blessings.

We must learn to be grateful in whatever situation we find ourselves and give thanks. A positive attitude always penetrates a bad situation.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him" (Colossians 3:17).

Wise Quotes - GRACE v LAW

The topic of Grace verses the law is quiet vast to discuss, yet a very clear difference between them. Many have argued about the differences and has led them with little or no understanding.

Some argue that we still need to abide by the Law as a believer while others believe we are the new covenant church so don't need to live under the law. This is what the Word of God says:

Romans 8:1(KJV*) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The difference is clear......The Law requires living by willpower whereas living by Grace requires drawing each day on the power of God's Spirit.

How many times, have you tried to use your own might or strength to accomplish things and how far has it gone? See, the moment you try to depend on your own abilities, you're telling God that you don't need Him and when you do, you'll call on Him.

On the other hand, the moment you surrender your daily life to HIM, acknowledging Him as Lord and Ruler of your life  and ask Him to take over, everything falls in place. This doesn't require any effort of your own but just by God's  Grace. The bible says that His Grace is sufficient for you.....So tell me why even bother to do things out of your own will power when there is a sufficiency of this Grace......remember His blessings are new EVERY morning. Oh what a joy to know i have new blessings coming my way each day.

My brethren, all it takes is daily seeking HIM, making it a point to daily search for HIM through His Word(The Bible).

II Timothy 3:16  All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

Start by digging into The Word and see a change in your life. Have a blessed day as you take on this step.

Wise Quotes - SUCCESS STORY

Every individual has what success means to them. What i may want to achieve to be successful might not necessarily mean the same to others. But overall the common goal is to succeed in whatever one intend to do.

A retirement service was recently held for my dad for his long term service to the church. Many testimonies were shared about him. And even people who couldn't make it will call and share on many more testimonies.

We also organised a surprise dinner to honour him and my mum's 60th birthday and there were yet many more testimonies to share. I watched as my dad shed a tear or two.....for a man who hardly cries, that was touching. He underestimated the impact he had left on people over the years.

See, for me, dad is a success story.....many of the testimonies were about the fact that he nurtured them to seek God for themselves.....one sister testified of how she never knew how to pray yet alone lead people into prayer but dad always gave her the opportunity to do so and now she is a leader in one of the ministries in the church.

It's not so much about how well you lead but the impartation or legacy you live behind. Most importantly it's about making sure you take your family along with you on that road to success.

Ask yourself today, are you living  something behind that in your absence, the baton can be carried forward? I certainly want to be like my father. Have a blessed day.

Wise Quotes - ADDED BLESSING

A blessing in my definition use to be subjected to riches and wealth. Until I grew up and finally realised that waking up to see another day is also a blessing. My realisation of this made me more appreciative of life. As the well known song goes:

♬♪♫
Count your blessings
Name them one by one
Count your blessings see what God has done
Count your blessings
Name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
♫♪♫
I can bet you're either singing or humming to it now......😆

You count your blessings and you do realise you're actually blessed beyond measure.......but wait, have you ever thought about the fact that with ADDED BLESSINGS comes ADDED RESPONSIBILITIES? Ecclesiastes 5: 11a (ICB*) says "The more wealth a person has, the more friends he has to help him. spend it".

Some will say, when you come into wealth, thats when you know you have family and friends.......that's true to say but when you do, be sure to extend that blessing because by blessing others, you open up the channel for God to come through and bless you again.

While discussing this topic with my hubby, he made a very profound statement which got me thinking for a while. He said and i quote " God's blessings are extensive but we usually make a mistake by thinking it has to be something huge before we can give back......we can give back with every little blessing we have".

God has blessed us with all heavenly blessings.....Even His creation gives back with all its' beauty and fruitfulness. Each day is an opportunity to share on......be it a talent, wealth , wisdom, good health, gifts, wisdom etc, use it to bless others.

For parents, it'll be your responbility to love, care and lead your children to Christ......For every any leader, the way you manage or lead your workers/colleagues will have a lasting impact...... For every individual, giving back a smile won't cost a penny and for a minister(in whatever ministry God has placed you),  it'll be your responsibility to give back to those entrusted in your care.

Have a blessed day as you think about these words.

Wise Quotes - PEACE

I have a ritual of sharing a scripture(thanks to Daily Bible app) each morning with my children as i drive them to school......Taking in turns, one of them will read and then I'll explain what that scripture means (more like what I've  started sharing with you all on this blog). Yesterday's scripture happens to be  about today's Wise Quote.

                  **********************
Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV*)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

                    **********************
Questions followed and the first question was, what is this peace God gives? And i had a perfect Testimony to share with them.

The previous day, on my way to drop off my last son to nursery, i had an incident, where a track boxed me in between two cars. I had no room to drive on so i had to quickly drive through to save any accidents but i wasn't quick enough and the mirror on the left hand of the car hit another car's mirror. Thankfully my car was ok but the other car's mirror smashed into pieces.

The driver was at the time in the car so she was very much shaken about the whole thing. I quickly reversed back to check up on her and her car. Funny enough i was very calm than i usually will be, considering i had my son in the front seat as well.

We exchanged details and she was still shaking from the incident so she called her husband to talk to me. I calmly kept apologising and her husband decided we should sort it amongst ourselves rather than take it through my insurance company(which will cost me more).

I drove off thanking God for everything. After dropping my son off to school, i took a moment in the car to reflect on all that had happened and i just couldn't explain the calmness and peace i had within that all was well.....I blessed the name of the Lord and went off with my daily routine.

I called the lady in the evening to find out how i could fix her car and she didn't answer so left a message. Just as i was going to bed, i received a text mesaage that i shouldn't worry about it that she will fix the car herself. I was in utter shock and then i knew it was the Lord's doing.

Note this , the troubles will come but God promises us that, through it all He will give us Peace......The kind of peace which is not of this world.....The kind of peace which cannot be explained......The kind of peace which says the world is in chaos and people are scared, afraid and don't know where to turn to but come to me and i will give you REST.

And this peace God gives is indeed an inside job. I have tried Him and He has proven Himself time and time again so today learn to Trust Him for your Peace too. Be blessed.

Wise Quotes - LOVE

I couldn't write about LOVE without quoting the best scripture to support it.

                         *******************

Love is patient and Kind.
Love is not jealous.
It does not brag; and it is not proud.
Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not become angry easily.
Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.
Love patiently accepts all things.
It always trusts, always hopes, and always continues strong.
Love never ends.
(I Corinthians 13:4-8 ICB*)

We all have experienced love one way or the other but the greatest of them all is God's Love for us. He loves us so much He has birthed in us the Spirit to do the same.

Some say it's difficult to love as God did by sending us His Only Begotten Son- Jesus Christ and even more difficult to love someone when it is not reciprocal. I have come to realise that God is not excepting you to be perfect at it but rather looking up to Jesus who is the author  of Love.

By looking up to Jesus, you subconsciously show Love without a struggle and just as you give a plant air to grow and not smoothering it to die, you also give room for errors and differences in Love.  Allowing it to grow over time. A careful analysis of I Corinthians 13 sums up the quote perfectly.....you need patient, care, time, amongst others to flourish in Love. Be blessed as you go out in love today........#inspired...ann #WiseQuotes

Wise Quotes - PRAYER

Several times we hear the saying 'PRAYER IS KEY'. Prayer is indeed key in a believers life. It is simply communicating with God (Our Heavenly Father). So far as i know, there is no rule or logic to it.....simply just talk to God.

I've been asked "but how does one pray?" and my answer is "just as you ask me a question and i answer you, it's the same way you do with God". One might also ask "but how will God answer back when i ask something or talk to Him"? It's by seeking after Him through His Word (The Bible) and the inner man Spirit or that intuition you get sometimes(The Holy Spirit).

Now doing this requires Trust and Faith in God. And Faith comes by hearing and hearing The Word of God. Today's #WiseQuote is EXHALING the self (doubt, fear, anxiety) or whatever holds you back in believing and INHALING The SPIRIT  (Love, peace, joy) and all things good that The Lord wants to instill in you. Just as a child goes to their father, calls him daddy(sharing a bond) and talks to him, that is the same intimacy our Heavenly Father wants to have with us.  So today why don't you give it a go and talk to Him.....He always listens. Remain blessed.

The Beginning of Greater Things........Wise Quotes

Hey guys, it's been a while and i have missed you all. Well I'm back but with something quiet different to what i use to share with you. Some of you may know about my greater testimonies this year. For every testimony there is first a test but God has been faithful and has brought me this far.

I've been thinking of ways to improve on this blog and through several discussions with my dear hubby i decided to do this instead. Now don't get me wrong, i still love and have a passion for fashion but for now i'm being directed to share some of the things I've learnt this year. In regards to The Word of God.

There are several messages of The Word each day (Thank God) and i am particularly benefiting so much from them. Wise Quotes came about as a result of my journey to knowing more about The Love of God for my life. Wise Quotes is going to be a daily Word summed up in small quotes.

What i intend to do is share these quotes on any social platform and link it to this blog so you read the quote for the day then read a further explanation of what it means(Some might be self explanatory). I pray to do it as brief as possible to enable you to digest the Word and dwell on it each day.

I know many of you out are more knowledgeable of The Word of God than i do...... Please bear with me if my explanations are not enough, i aim to make them as brief and as relaxing( as in imagining we're having a conversation together) as possible. What i will love though, is for you to share your views in the comments.

The first quote will be up tomorrow. I pray that you're blessed by them just as i am being blessed too. Please share on and keep the blessings going. #inspired...ann #WiseQuotes
